Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 6 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Kayan Fitness Studio ("Kayan", "we", "us") website, booking platform, and studio services. Kayan Fitness Studio [legal entity name pending], Trade Licence No. 928656 (Sharjah), operates in the United Arab Emirates. By creating an account, booking a class, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
Kayan is a female-only studio: access to our classes, facilities, and studio spaces is reserved for women. The platform is intended for members and prospective members who are at least 18 years old, or a younger age permitted by the studio with a parent or guardian's consent. You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it up to date, and you are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
2. Memberships & packages
Class credits are purchased through class packs (or as a single drop-in) and are personal to your account — they are non-transferable and cannot be shared, sold, or gifted to another person. Each pack has a stated validity period shown at the time of purchase; credits not used within that period expire and cannot be reinstated. We may change pack pricing, composition, or validity periods at any time; changes do not affect packs you have already purchased.
3. Bookings
Classes must be booked in advance through the platform and are confirmed once your credit has been deducted and a place is held for you, subject to real-time studio capacity. If a class is fully booked, you may join the waitlist and will be notified automatically if a place becomes available. Booking, cancellation, and waitlist rules are set out in full in our Booking & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
4. Payments
All payments are made online, in advance, through our secure payment provider — we do not accept cash or in-studio card payments. Full payment is required before you may attend a class or collect a pack. Prices are shown in UAE Dirhams (AED) and displayed inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at 5%, shown transparently at checkout. A VAT invoice is issued for every paid purchase and is available in your member account.
5. Health & safety
You confirm that you are medically fit to take part in Reformer Pilates, Boxing, or any other class you book, and that you will inform your coach of any injury, medical condition, pregnancy, or other condition that may affect your safety before class begins. The studio may, at its discretion, decline to admit you to a class or ask you to modify your participation where we reasonably believe continuing would be unsafe for you or for others.
6. Studio rules
To keep Kayan a respectful and safe space, all members are expected to: treat staff, coaches, and fellow members with courtesy; wear appropriate sportswear; wear grip socks for Reformer Pilates and gloves for Boxing (available for sale or hire at the studio); refrain from smoking or vaping anywhere on the premises; keep phones on silent and step off the studio floor to take calls; and refrain from photographing or recording any class without the prior consent of the coach and the members in frame.
7. Liability
Exercise carries an inherent risk of injury. To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Kayan is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from your failure to follow coach instructions, studio rules, or the safe use of equipment. Personal belongings brought onto the premises remain your own responsibility at all times; Kayan is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
8. Intellectual property
All content on our website and platform — including our name, logo, branding, studio imagery, photography, and written content — is owned by Kayan or used under licence, and is protected under UAE and international law. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse it for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
9. Amendments
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time to reflect changes to our services, pricing, or legal requirements. The current version is always available on this page, and continued use of the platform after an update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Emirate in which Kayan operates.
